The 2018 Commonwealth Games
Congratulations to all those who competed in this year’s Commonwealth Games. An incredible display of sportsmanship and athleticism once again, every four years a host of athletes and team officials from 71 Commonwealth nations and territories compete to become part of the event’s ‘celebration of sport, entertainment and culture’.
Gabby Logan and Clare Balding led the presenting for The BBC and we are very proud of the JG athletes who represented their nation, with special congratulations going to those who won medals.
Tom Daley, who took home Gold for England for the Men’s Synchronised 10m diving platform (with Dan Goodfellow)
Dan Norton, Phil Burgess and James Rodwell who all took home Bronze for England for the Mens Rugby 7s
George Horne, Jamie Farndale, Lee Jones and James Fleming who, as part of the Scotland Mens Rugby 7s team, came in 6th place
Justin Tipuric, Hallam Amos, Morgan Williams and Tom Williams who, as part of the Wales Mens Rugby 7s team, came in 7th place
