Congratulations to the RTS Programme Awards Nominees!


The nominees for the 2017 RTS Programme Awards in partnership with Audio Network have been announced. The awards “recognise programmes which have made a positive contribution to their genre through their originality, innovation or supremely high standard, and from which other programme makers can learn and develop. These criteria of originality, creative risk-taking and standard setting quality apply to the performance as well.” (rts.org.uk)

 

Following the announcement of the nominees being announced on 7th March, the award ceremony will take place on Tuesday 21st March in London.

 

Among those nominated are:

 

Drama Series:

Happy Valley (James Norton); Line of Duty (Keeley Hawes and Craig Parkinson); The Durrells (Keeley Hawes)

 

Entertainment:

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (Ant and Dec and Stephen Mulhern); Strictly Come Dancing (Tess Daley)

 

Entertainment Performance:

Ant and Dec for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

 

Live Event:

Stand Up to Cancer (Davina McCall)

 

Mini-Series:

National Treasure (Tim McInnerny)

 

Soap and Continuing Drama:

EastEnders (Danny Dyer)

 

Sports Presenter, Commentator or Pundit:

Clare Balding (Rio Paralympics)

 

Sports Programme:

Rio Paralympics (Clare Balding)
