Emma Willis is New Co-Host of The BRIT Awards

It has been announced that Emma will co-host this year’s awards show alongside Dermot O’Leary, following the news that Michael Bublé is unable to present.

Thrilled to present the prestigious awards show, Emma spoke of her excitement: “Every part of me sends so much love and all the well wishes in the world to Michael and his family at such a difficult time. I’m a huge fan of his and I would have relished watching him present the BRITs. I know everyone involved wants to make the best show possible and I hope we do him proud.

“I had an awesome time presenting the nominations show this year and I am delighted to be asked back for the main event. To present the BRITs is an honour but to be doing it alongside one of my absolute favourites, Mr. Dermot O’Leary is just bonkers. Bring on the Brits 2017.”

“We are delighted to announce the combination of Emma and Dermot who are stepping up as hosts,” said BRITs Chairman and Chairman of Sony Music Jason Iley. “They are currently the most in demand presenters in the UK, with a huge passion for music, and to get the both of them is very exciting for us. Our thoughts go out to Michael and his family. We would love to see him on our stage in the future.”

Up for two awards at the BRITs is James Arthur: ‘Best British Artist Video’ for Say You Wont Let Go, and ‘Best British Single’ for the same.

The former category will decided by a public vote, with voting lines now open. Here is some information about how the winner is decided, and also how you can vote for James:

As of Saturday 14th January, the BRITS ‘Best British Artist Video of the Year’ voting lines were opened and will continue to run for five weeks.

Every Friday one nomination with the least amount of votes will drop from the category until only five nominees remain. These nominees will then go to a live vote held during the main BRIT awards show and the winner will be announced on stage at around 9:30pm.
