Amelia is best known for being the CEO of hit YouTube series ‘Chicken Shop Date’, which awkwardly combines romance, grime artists and fried chicken.
The series, which currently has over 100,000 subscribers and 11 million total views, won Amelia the Guardian’s Student Media Award 2014 while she was studying fashion journalism at Central St Martins and she was hailed by Spotify’s Rob Fitzpatrick as ‘the new frontier in music journalism’.
As well as being a writer and director, Amelia is a multi-platform character comedian best known for embodying personas which aim to subtly subvert reality and produce uncanny but comical feelings in her viewers.
Amelia has recently filmed a doc for Channel 4 about the US perspective on the upcoming Royal Wedding and also a farce doc for VICE about a spiritual festival in Costa Rica.
Amelia is looking to develop Chicken Shop Date alongside other new franchises. Her fresh approach has attracted major platforms and brands to work with her including The Guardian, Nike, Clarks shoes, the BRITs and more. She recently has filmed content for a campaign for Right Guard with famous Premier League footballers, including Jessie Lingard, to run alongside the upcoming 2018 World Cup.
