Jonny May receives Aviva Premiership award

James Grant rugby client Jonny May has been named Aviva Premiership Player of the Month for January and received his award at Kingsholm this week.
Jonny got the nod after a panel of notable rugby luminaries debated the merits of several players who caught the eye last month.
However, the 21 year old was the overwhelming choice after a recent run of form which have seen him, amongst other things, score a brace of tries against London Wasps and an eye catching effort against Toulouse in the Heineken Cup.
The award caps a memorable week for the Swindon-born product of the Gloucester Rugby who made his first start for the England Saxons last Friday.
He was also named in a shortlist of six for the LV= Breakthrough Award earlier this week.
"It's a really great award to win and I'm very honoured and grateful. However, it's a reflection of well the team has been going recently, the way we're trying to play the game and the hard work that everyone puts in.
"With everything that's happened this week, it does all feel a bit surreal but it's a big bonus.
"The awards come if you're concentrating properly on your rugby. I'm really happy to have won this, but I'll just keep on working hard and won't let it affect anything."
