Former England rugby captain Phil Vickery MBE has become an official ambassador for 6 Nations title sponsor RBS and the banking group's RugbyForce scheme.
Phil, who won 73 caps for England during an illustrious playing career, will lend his support to RBS at a variety of events and initiatives throughout the year.
He will also help promote NatWest RugbyForce in England, a scheme that has helped over 1,000 clubs at the grassroots of the game by providing them with financial support, online guidance and tools to help coordinate a community-wide effort to give their facilities a 'make-over' since its launch in 2009.
Commenting on his new role, Phil said: "RBS have been a fantastic supporter of rugby at all levels for a number of years so I'm really proud to be brought on board with them in this way.
"The RBS 6 Nations is the centrepiece of the rugby calendar and holds so many good memories for me. I look forward to meeting the bank's customers and partners and sharing our love of the game.
"NatWest RugbyForce is a campaign that is really close to my heart. I started off at a grassroots club and know firsthand how the thousands of hours put in by volunteers throughout the country produces the players we see on the pitch at Twickenham. Without a healthy community game, we would not have the top end."
Last week Phil was out and about in his home county of Gloucestershire, paying a visit to Longlevens RFC and running a coaching session for local children (pictured).
