Emma Willis to host a brand new dating show for ITV2

ITV2 has commissioned a new series that follows the search for real love and the realities of dating.

Three, produced by Studio Lambert, is a new series in which three single women of different ages, life experiences and backgrounds meet for the first time with a common goal— to find true love. As they search for a partner, they will share their lives and emotionally support one another during the dating and decision-making process.

The eight part series hosted by Emma Willis will offer an exciting twist as our singletons face a host of make or break decisions. At the end of each episode, the three girls and their ‘dates’ will decide if they wish to continue seeing each other, but the feeling has to be mutual. Will this be a match made in heaven or just another dating disaster?

The new series will kick-start with an audition in which a hundred men from all over the country ‘pitch’ themselves to the three women. Each of the women will have to select six men who they would like to ‘date’ but the pressure is on as they will have only a few minutes to decide if they would like to get to know them further but will the men feel the same way?

Each week, viewers will follow our singletons as together they embark on a series of dating scenarios with their potential suitors. The series will follow their preparations, nerves and trepidation as they get to know more about the men they have chosen.

With their fate placed firmly in their hands, each episode will culminate with an elimination as their ‘dates’ are whittled down until they have just one decision to make…. will our three single ladies finally meet their Mr Right or will they be left out in the cold?

Emma Willis said: "I am beyond thrilled to be a part of Three. I love to watch a good romance blossom, so to be asked to be a part of that process is genuinely exciting".

Angela Jain, Director of Digital Channels and Acquisitions at ITV said: "Three has already proven itself to be a hit format. Showing the emotional highs and lows of finding the partner of your dreams, coupled with Emma Willis in the role as a confidante for these three girls will, I hope, make this an unmissable show for ITV2".

The Good Food channel has commissioned a brand new 6-part series. Hairy Bikers' Mississippi Adventure sees the Bikers travel the length of the Mississippi river in pursuit of the roots of soul food and Southern music.

“We are over-excited to say the least about our trip to Mississippi," the culinary duo said. "The mix of music, food and motorcycles goes back to the roots and soul of the Hairy Bikers.”

“The series promises to be a journey of discovery into the culture of food and music of the deep South. We visit New Orleans for Blues and tamales, Memphis for a soul stew and fried chicken, Nashville for Country and Western, pulled pork and slaw and Lafayette for Cajun and shrimp creole.

"Living the true spirit of an American road movie, we set out on Harley Davidsons to cover more than three thousand miles of American Tarmac. It feels good to be on the road again. Get your helmets and come along for the ride.”

To accompany the series, the Bikers are launching their first app to help viewers follow their journey via an interactive map, whilst learning more about the dishes, recipes, flavours and tips from characters that the boys meet along the way.

The programme will be aired on the Good Food channel later on this year.

Ant & Dec are to host a second series of the high-octane TV event, which will air weekly on ITV1 later in the year.

The high-jeopardy supersized game show will feature more large scale stunts and nerve-wracking challenges where the contestants will use their judgement and skill to battle it out to win big money prizes.

But in a brand new twist to the first series, if the prize isn’t won, the money rolls over to the next week. Starting at £500,000, the winnings could rise to a massive £3.5 million - one of the biggest prizes up for grabs on British television.

Ant and Dec said: “Red or Back? is an extravaganza of a show - it's the most nerve-wracking thing to work on but hugely exciting with so much at stake for the contestants. We're really excited to be going again with the new series."

Simon Cowell said: “One of the things I love most about this show is that it’s exciting, unpredictable, scary, and a bit nuts all in one. I’m delighted it’s back and am excited about the possibility of roll-over winnings and some even bigger games.”

ITV’s Director of Television, Peter Fincham said: “We have developed Red or Black? and built on what we did with the first series. The scale of the challenges will still be huge, but this time around contestants will have more control over their own destinies as they are able to use their skill and judgement in an attempt to win big money prizes.”

Denise O’Donoghue, Managing Director, ITV Studios UK said: “With a great weekly slot and our experience from series one, we are really excited to be bringing the new Red or Black? to ITV1."

Red or Black? will be made by ITV Studios and Syco TV and was commissioned by ITV’s Director of Comedy and Entertainment Elaine Bedell. The commissioning editor is Kate Maddigan. It will be executive produced for ITV Studios by Richard Cowles and for Syco TV by Siobhan Greene and Nigel Hall and series produced by Sarah Harris from ITVS.

Gabby Logan is one of five top sporting personalities facing the daunting challenge of a live stand-up gig that will be aired on BBC3 ahead of Sport Relief.

Coaching Gabby in the nerve-wracking build-up to the show is stand-up comedian Patrick Kielty, who will also perform alongside the show’s other mentors before the sports stars take to the stage on the night itself.

“I am thrilled that Patrick Kielty is going to be my mentor,” Gabby says. “I am also terrified at the prospect of standing up on stage in two weeks and performing stand up.

“I am only doing it because I'd like to help Sport Relief and am too lazy to Kayak down the Amazon.”

The BBC Sports Broadcaster and former Commonwealth gymnast will be joined by cricketer Michael Vaughan and rugby player Ben Cohen, as they too tackle the task at one of the country’s top comedy venues.

The audience will also be shown films demonstrating how the money raised by Sport Relief will be put to fantastic use at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.

BBC Three will unearth what us Brits really think and get up to in brand new series, Look At The State Of You, hosted by Greg James.

Look At The State Of You (w/t) is a brand new series for BBC Three that will lift the lid on what us Brits really think and get up to. It’s the show that delivers an alternative social census of the UK and caters for the nation’s number one obsession – themselves. The series will deliver an alternative, funny state of the nation by conducting a huge nationwide questionnaire asking everything from the national to the personal, the eye-opening to the downright daft.

From our sex lives to our moral compass, no stone is left unturned as questions, from the serious to the very light-hearted, include: How does wealth really affect the number of sexual partners you’ve had? Where in the country are people most likely to have slept with a friend’s partner? How much if any would be the lowest amount of money you would want to have your little toe chopped off? How often do we really delete our internet history? Who’s more likely to have a favourite child – mums or dads?

Radio 1 DJ Greg James and comedian Russell Kane will host proceedings in this studio based comedy entertainment show, which over six weeks will unfurl the results of our unique questionnaire. The show will involve celebrity guests, audience surprises and hidden camera stunts, along the way exploring how beliefs and behaviours differ across the nation.

Greg James says of the new series: "I'm pretty sure we live in a nation full of characters - this show will find out once and for all just how weird we actually are. It'll also make me feel better about how often my internet history is cleared!"

Zai Bennett, Controller, BBC Three, says of the series: "Look At The State Of You will be a unique show examining the state of the nation that is the BBC Three audience. With Greg and Russell at the helm it promises to be an irreverent and hilarious look at exactly what our audience are up to and what they think of one another."

Managing Director, Talkback, Dan Baldwin, comments: “Look At The State Of You dives behind your front door and smashes through the veneer of modern day Britain to discover what we are all really up to.

"This is going to be a big entertainment show for BBC Three. We are extremely excited about this commission. We have two of the UK’s biggest talents, in Greg and Russell, hosting the show and I believe this will springboard huge TV careers for both of them.”

James Grant Music scores new Channel 5 show.

Channel 5 holiday programme, Holiday: Heaven on Earth launched last week on Thursday night produced by Shoreditch based indie Blink Films.

Blink contacted the media finance team at James Grant to request some deficit finance for the programme. The budget on the project was very tight, particularly for the music. While we explored various financing options we introduced Blink to our music division. They were incredibly impressed with Richard Northen, James Grant's internal creative/music supervisor and his network of composers. Rich started work immediately on the series and delivered compositions for the entire project in a matter of weeks. The producer received an unprecedented response from the commissioner who required no changes to the first episode. In total we delivered genre specific tracks for the entire 10 episode series.

The quality and efficiency with which the project was delivered endorses the unique offering available at James Grant. If your project requires cash flowing, deficit finance or indeed music, branding, talent, voiceover or PR then please contact Jonathan McMorrow.

One third of the Got To Dance judging panel, the lead member of dance troupe Diversity and now star of his own series, Sky 1 HD is delighted to bring Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew to the channel this January.

ABSSC sees the master of street dance turn the unlikeliest movers into poppin’, lockin’ and body shakin’ stars. Determined to make us shake off our uptight British reserve, Ashley takes the country’s worst dancers, including darts players, beauticians, dinner ladies, polo and role players and sets about transforming them into slick street dance crews, ready to bust out a flash mob dance routine at locations ranging from the school dinner hall to a polo tournament.

Putting his reputation on the line, Ashley personally choreographs routines for the novice dancers and as he is a perfectionist no routine he puts together is allowed to fail. The Secret Street Crew will have their work cut out as they prepare in secret to spring a surprise street dance performance in front of their unwitting friends and family.

Ashley will be helped along the way by his street crew Diversity, who help run the day-to-day training, inducting the new dancers into the world of street dance. Proving anyone can learn to strut their stuff, Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew is a high-energy and fun series sure to get everyone’s toes tapping.
The series launches on Sky1HD on 29th January at 730pm straight after 'Got To Dance'

Matt Allwright to host The Exit List

James Grant is pleased to announce that Matt Allwright will host ITV1's 'The Exit List', an intellectual game show in which contestants can win up to £200,000. A pair of contestants will descend into a giant 24 room maze searching for a room that holds £100,000. The trouble is, the further the contestants go in, the harder it is to get out – because to escape with the money, they must remember The Exit List.

In each room, the contestants must answer a question with four possible answers. Get the question right, they pocket the cash and only that answer appears on The Exit List. Get it wrong, and all four answer options go on The Exit List. And the immediate way ahead is blocked. When their memories can take no more, the contestants turn back but to escape with the money they must remember their exact route out and every single answer on their Exit List.

The show is set to air on ITV1 on Tuesday 10th January at 8pm

ITV, talkbackTHAMES and Syco TV today announced that Ant and Dec will host the show once again and Simon Cowell will return to hit show, Britain’s Got Talent, when it arrives back on our screens for a sixth series in Spring 2012.

Joining Simon on the panel will be actor and comedian David Walliams, singer, songwriter and dancer Alesha Dixon, alongside returning Judge, Amanda Holden.

Simon Cowell said: “I miss Britain and I miss the British public and I miss judging them. I want to find the next generation of talent in 2012. Different and new acts, younger and better talent. You want someone who can be a star all over the world and by coming back in 2012, it's the year of the Olympics, it's a big year for Britain, we are going to be in the world's spotlight and I want this show to be back in the world spotlight. This year I really felt that I've got to put my money where my mouth is, so I'm personally putting up £250,000, so that's £500,000 cash to the winner, so that's a big incentive.”
