The Honey Guide is long listed for Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award
The award is open to British and Irish authors whose crime novel was published in paperback over the previous twelve months, with the winner receiving a cash prize of £3,000 and a handmade, engraved beer barrel provided by Theakstons Old Peculier.
The Honey Guide is set in Nairobi and is the first in a series of crime novels featuring Massai Warrior turned detective, Mollel. The second book, Hell’s Gate, will be published in May 2014.
The short list for the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award will be announced on 1st July.
