For the past 20 years, Heather has been working as a journalist, writing, editing and commissioning stories for newspapers and women’s magazines.
In 2005, she helped launch Pick Me Up magazine where she was deputy features editor and then features editor for four years. Prior to that, Heather was a senior writer at That’s Life (Sydney, Australia), Take a Break, Real and Woman.
Heather is currently a freelance writer contributing to publications such as the Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, Bella, Take a Break, Pick Me Up, Chat and Real People amongst others.
Her first ghostwriting project, Up In The Air, which tells the story of a British girl who was chosen to work as a stewardess for Pan Am in the 1960s was published by Simon & Schuster in March 2013. Her next ghostwriting book, Tales of a Tiller Girl – a memoir from a member of the world famous dance troupe – was published by HarperCollins in July 2014.
Since then she has gone on to ghostwrite a further seven critically acclaimed books, working with publishers including Simon & Schuster, Ebury, HarperCollins, Orion and Headline.
Her most recent project is the bestselling series of foster mum memoirs, the latest of which is Too Young to be a Mum, published by Trapeze in June 2017.
