Julia Bradbury to host Planet Earth Live
Monday 30th Apr 2012
This May Julia Bradury joins co-host Richard Hammond and a team of award-winning BBC Natural History Unit film makers and international wildlife specialists on an epic journey to bring the lives of some of the Earth’s most fascinating baby animals to viewers in 140 countries.
Filming will take place across seven worldwide locations, spanning six different time zones and five continents to capture the early lives of elephants in Kenya, black bears in Minnesota, meerkats in South Africa, grey whales in the Pacific and lion cubs in the Masaai Mara.
Julia will head to North America as the black bear cubs of the wild Northwoods of Minnesota emerge from their dens with their parents – one of the planet's most feared predators.
She will also follow the grey whales and their calves on the Pacific coast as they embark on their treacherous migration under the watchful eye of the infamous killer whale.
Planet Earth Live will simultaneously broadcast to a global audience via BBC Knowledge (Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Poland, the Nordic Region, Asia and Italy) BBC Entertainment (India), BBC HD (Latin America, the Nordic Region, Poland and Turkey) and in a selection of European countries on the BBC Global iPlayer.
