Tipping Point begins on ITV1

Ben Shephard hosts a brand new ITV1 game show where contestants go head-to-head against an extraordinary machine filled with counters worth thousands of pounds.
A game of knowledge, skill and tactics, players must answer questions to win turns on the machine. If they get a question wrong the machine won’t pay out, resulting in the player with the least amount of money being eliminated.
The last player standing goes head to head with the Tipping Point machine, and will be focussed on just one counter – the golden jackpot disc.
Again, answering questions for the right to play the machine, contestants will win a big cash sum if they can make it release the jackpot counter.
Tipping Point is an RDF Television commission for ITV1. Commissioning Editor for ITV Factual and Daytime, Diana Howie said: “We are really looking forward to Tipping Point. Thousands of pounds will literally hang in the balance every day and it’s great to bring a new and exciting quiz format to our viewers alongside the great success of our established quiz, The Chase.”

Tipping Point now airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV1.
