Sam has enjoyed a memorable number years of rugby, captaining Wales to the semi-finals of the Rugby World Cup in 2011, the Grand Slam in 2012 and the start of the 6 nations title that Wales retained in 2013.

2013 was also the year Warburton was chosen to captain the British and Irish Lions to Australia, making him the youngest ever Lions captain at the age of 24 and leading the Lions to a historic 2-1 victory against the Wallabies. On the 4 March 2015 versus Ireland, Warburton made history again by surpassing the record of 33 caps as Wales captain held by Ryan Jones. Regarded as a true leader on the field, he is also a former captain of Wales at Under 19, Under 20 and domestically with Cardiff Blues. In Blue colours, he was a part of the team that brought the first ever piece of European silverware to Wales when they beat Toulon in the final of the 2009/10 European Challenge Cup.
