Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins gear up for the launch of Good Morning Britain
Monday 28th April will see Ben and Charlotte's debut on the brand new ITV breakfast show alongside Susanna Reid and Sean Fletcher.
Good Morning Britain will air every weekday from 6am-8.30am live from the London television Centre in Southbank, informing viewers of the latest news, sport and weather.
“Engaging, news driven content is our number one priority and will be at the heart of Good Morning Britain” says ITV Director of Daytime, Helen Warner.
For Ben this marks a return to breakfast TV, in addition to 4 years of hosting Sky Sports shows and the hit daytime gameshow Tipping Point which he will continue to host.
Speaking on the prospect of returning to the breakfast sofa, Ben said: I‘ve missed the interaction with viewers and being there when a big story breaks. From a professional point of view, there is nothing like doing live television and so when the opportunity came along to be part of this new programme, I really wanted to do it.”
For Charlotte, having hosted the breakfast show on Sky News for the past 7 years, the routine will be more familiar but no less exciting: ‘Being part of the team from the beginning is so exciting…I can’t wait to start’.
